4 August 20034 August 2003 Ah, the dawn of a fresh new era. An exciting day indeed.

Mere hours ago I realized that the apartments Miguel and I move into at the end of the month are right next door to TEP, an MIT fraternity. 19 August 200319 August 2003 Last night while hanging out with Thomas Schwaller, I coincidentally ran into Murray Cumming at the Munich train station. Even stranger, Murray and I had just been emailing each other that morning.

By the by, I'm looking to get rid of a 1976 Fiat if anyone's interested. 20 August 200320 August 2003 In the Berlin airport, about to head home. This city does seem awesome, really interesting and fun. I wish I could stay the weekend for some partying.

    At our hotel in Munich.
It's a bit surreal to travel to all these places and have almost no time to see them. I've been in Germany 52 hours and had meetings in three cities, and this isn't even a particularly grueling trip. On the harder trips I don't even remember to take out my camera.

    Yet another travel lounge.
Some day maybe I'll come back and get to know these cities by more than just their airport lounges and taxi drivers. (One note: it's true. You should sit in the front of the taxi in Germany.)

Working a lot, frequently tired.

But the last few days have been among the most beautiful I've ever seen in Boston.

I'm looking for a new book to read, after finishing and loving and recommending to all my friends The Twenty-Seventh City.

I got a new camera, which I'm trying to learn to use.

All amateur camera on camera action!!!
Everything feels like a transition to me right now, which is interesting, but a bit disorienting.

    Zoe.
I need to find a new home for Zoe this week. Anyone in Boston want to give a home to a very sweet, very cool little kitty?

. . .

Update: Zoe found a nice home, with two kids (6 and 4) to give her plenty of attention. 30 August 200330 August 2003 And there was like 40,000 people all along and up a hill with lighters and whatever and fires going in the distance and tents and I've never ever felt like that. It wasn't a human feeling. It was something else completely different.
